savory received an enhancement today that allows individuals to query it for information using what I like to refer to as "non-standard ways".

catphish is an email interface into savory that allows you to ask savory for the tags and proxy categorization currently known for a given URL or list of URLs. It is explained in more detail here</a>

I find it most handy for asking savory what it thinks about a URL without having to always be logged in to the system. Often times we'll receive a servicedesk ticket asking why something appears to be blocked in a proxy. Usually I'm not logged in to savory at the time that I receive the email. So with this interface, I can forward the email to savory and receive a response right away telling me why the URL may or may not be blocked.
