Bummer that today is Monday. Bummer again that it's getting cold again in Illinois. I've been a bit confused recently about a bug that I'm seeing in my python script. Actually, I'm not entirely sure where it is, but it's in a block of C code because of the glibc errors. We've seen this error before with ngrep, but it only shows up on our RHEL 4 systems. Joe tested it on Ubuntu and it wasn't there which leads me to believe that there's something broken in the glibc on RHEL 4.
Hmm. The problem that it causes is that the resolver scripts that get forked every so often will just lapse into infinity and use CPU time forever. I think it has to do with the error that is thrown. No idea. I guess the solution is to move to RHEL 5 or something else.
